Jackie is the founder and owner of Lotus Body Sculpting and Independence Home Care, LLC in Winsted, MN. Lotus Body Sculpting was born after Jackie realized the opportunity to assist other women in boosting their self esteem and body image with non-surgical options. Jackie is the busy mother of 4 children with Grant being one of those amazing children. As an infant, Grant became very ill and with his liver failing he was placed on the transplant list. Jackie prayed for a miracle, and soon one came from a little Angel by the name of Addison Parker. Jackie is now co-authoring the beautiful, touching story "Granted a Liver" with Addison's mom Micki and it is set to be released this year. This touching story is to not only raise awareness of the importance of organ donations, but to encourage other donor and recipients families to meet. Less than 1% of donor's families and recipients ever meet, let alone become best friends. This powerful story will tug at your heart as two women share their very intimate feelings during that time.
Micki has been in healthcare for many years working tirelessly and selflessly to be the absolute best patient advocate! Micki strives to help others in their time of need just as she was helped in hers. When her daughter, Addison was 4 years old, she became critically ill and slipped into a coma. Ultimately Micki and her husband made the decision to donate life, and through that selfless gift, Addison Parker became the biggest little hero and saved the lives of many others. One of the recipients was Grant Thompson who received Addie's liver. Micki is now co-authoring "Granted a Liver" with Grant's mom, Jackie and it is set to be released this year. This touching story comes from each mother's perspective at that moment. Less than 1% of donor's families and recipients ever meet, let alone become best friends. Such a beautiful, rare story.
